Without further ado, I present...

After keeping you in the dark for more than a month, I proudly present to you the Guava Man in Thailand blog. All the promises of keeping in touch will finally come true (at least if I maintain this blog regularly). I apologize for taking so long to get around to this...

To whet your appetite, here is what I have in store for the first few posts.
  • What on Earth I'm doing here
  • My thoughts on the status of Thai primary school education, as observed via a stint at a local elementary school
  • A review of "Deschooling Society" by Ivan Illich, drawing upon critiques by my colleagues here at CIEE-Thailand.
  • The oft-absurd nature of government development policy in Thailand, as witnessed during a stay in rural village.
  • And more...
I will also try to have some recurring posts about...
  • Thai culture oddities
  • Fun facts about my job
  • etc.
Please, please, PLEASE leave comments at the end of my posts or email me with updates about you. I can't emphasize enough how much more fun this experience will be with these.

That's it for now. See ya later!
